About Me:
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California with over 10 years of experience providing counseling services. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master's in Social Work from USC.
I believe in building a trusting and collaborative relationship with each of my clients. My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and problem-solving techniques. I tailor our treatment plan to your unique needs and adjust it as necessary to ensure we are making progress in a way that works for you.
In addition to providing generalized therapy support, I specialize in two areas based on both my personal experiences and evidence-based practices:
Anxiety: Anxiety can feel overwhelming—like a constant voice in your head predicting the worst or keeping you stuck in a cycle of worry. In our work together, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a research-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Using CBT, we’ll identify the thought patterns that fuel your anxiety and learn how to challenge them. Together, we’ll work on quieting that anxious inner voice by developing more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. We’ll also build a toolbox of practical coping strategies you can use in everyday situations whether it’s managing racing thoughts, reducing physical symptoms of anxiety, or facing stressful challenges with more confidence. My goal is to help you feel more in control, more resilient, and more at peace in your daily life.
Chronic Illness: As someone living with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease, I understand the unique challenges that come with managing chronic conditions. The health anxieties, frequent doctor appointments, and the emotional toll of balancing life while managing a chronic illness are all too familiar to me. I offer support for individuals navigating similar struggles.
Perinatal and Reproductive Health: After my own fertility journey with a high-risk pregnancy and the premature birth of my twins at 27 weeks, I felt compelled to expand my practice to supporting women facing fertility challenges, difficult pregnancies, NICU journeys, and perinatal mood disorders. I am passionate about helping women and families through these difficult, often isolating experiences.
I am here to support you on your journey and look forward to helping you navigate life's challenges with compassion and understanding.
